Walter G. Zayhowski Sr., 89, of Troy, New York, an employee for many years of American Locomotive (Alco) before his retirement, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, New York, on Tuesday, February 5, 2002. Calling hours are scheduled for Thursday, February 7, 2002, 4-8 p.m., at Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, February 8, 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church, Troy. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to St. Joseph's Church Restoration Fund, 416 Third Street, Troy, NY 12180.
