Wally Hund Obituary

Just heard of the sad news, I'm so very shocked. Wally was a very dear friend, and he will be greatly missed. I'm so sorry we never had a reunion from St. Gertrudes or Leyden, he wanted to get that done. My sincere sympathy to his family. Love, Bunny

Dear Sharon and Family:



Sam and I were out of the country when Wally passed away and were shocked to hear about his passing when we returned this week.



Wally was one of the most avid supporters of ASA Chicago. He was always looking out for the interests of the members. I know that his fondest service to the association was to be moderator of the BPI. Wally was known as "Mr. BPI" and I don't know how we will replace him. His passion, his zeal, his zest will be sorrily missed not only by myself but all of us at ASA Chicago.



I know I speak for all our members when I tell you our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow.

As you know, Wally treated me like a brother. For many years, we talked on the phone nearly every day, even though we lived 3000 miles apart.

He was an indefatigable bulldog, a pain in the neck and a first-rate friend. He accomplished much, but was most proud of his family and the legacy he created for you, your children and his grand children.

He was one in a billion and I already miss him.

Wally lived his life with a passion which showed in everything he accomplished. He will be sorely missed.

He was a fellow Medinah senoirs team member and a friend.



His work in creating the history of Medinah was outstanding.



He will be missed and rembered as a class act.

Sharon, Audrey and I were both saddened to hear of Wally's passing. His work on the Heritage of Medinah CC will always be appreciated. It was a work of Love for him. Our prayers are with you.
