Dear Jack, Sherry, Amy, and Jack,

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you. Virginia had a personality and zest for life unmatched. She always lit up a room with her smile and warmth. I know she will be greatly missed. I am sorry I could not attend her services, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sherry & Family: I heard of your mom's passing this morning at Ivanhoe Church and realized who today's funeral was for. I remember all of you from church. Sherry, I also remember sharing a locker with you at MHS! You always had a great smile and laugh - I'm sure you still do. May your memories of your mom give you some comfort in your time of grief. You are all in my prayers.

To the Taylor Family, Please accept my sympathy and my prayers for your loss. I was introduced to the Taylor family when I attended MHS and I use to babysit for Amy. Their beautiful and gracious family always made me feel like a welcomed member of their family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. God Bless your family.

This is going to sound very strange but last week I picked out a beautiful oil painting of 2 young girls out of the garbage in Rome, NY because I thought it was very well done and certainly didn't belong in any garbage! It's truly an amazing work! The signature says "Virgina Taylor" on it. I googled the name and saw this obit of which I was very sad to see but awe struck at the same time when I read that some of Virginia's hobbies were oil painting and thought this could be a work of hers. Was Virginia ever in Rome, NY? And Jack, I don't know you, but after reading just a little about your wife and the comments here in this guest book, I can tell she'll be greatly missed. I pray you know my Lord Jesus Christ, and that His Holy Spirit dwells within you so that you may find the peace and comfort that only He can give you. Many blessings, grace.

Dear Jack,
I am so saddened and sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved wife. I remember meeting her on several occasions while you and I were working together at WGN. It was always such a pleasure to run into both of you, especially at the car shows. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jack (the son),

You may not remember me but we were involved in Drama together at MHS. We also used to spend occasional afternoons sitting in the lobby talking with Kristy Paulsen and Kathy Daly among others. I still remember a very funny conversation that took place one afternoon when you had to explain to me what a certain word meant! We also both played the oboe although in different bands. And I remember a hysterical exchange about streaking and back braces.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. May all your wonderful memories of your Mom carry you through your grief and provide you comfort and bring you to the place that we all must arrive at when we have lost a loved one. May God comfort you. And remember how fortunate you, your sisters, your Father and all the grandchildren have been to have her for so many years...that is a gift that is often not given to many people, myself included. Again, my sympathies.

I have known this extraordinary woman for several years. Virginia shared her passion for family and friends with me, and I thank her daughter Amy and beloved son-in-law Jason for introducing me to her. I will miss her terribly. Brian Houston, Milwaukee
