Virginia Beatty Obituary

Beatty, Virginia Mable 81, of Buffalo Grove, IL, departed this life July 23, 2002, in Buffalo Grove, following and extended illness. She was born November 18, 1920, in Buckhannon, WV; a daughter of the late Rev. Willian and Leona M. (Baker) Casto. She was a retired receptionist and telephone operator from National Tea, and Littel Machine in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chicago. Surviving are sons, Brice (Linda) Gilpin of Mount Alto, and David (Christine) Gilpin of Huntley, IL; daughter, Ethyl (Harold) Mayes of Buffalo Grove, IL; brother, Bruce (Doris) Casto of Columbus, OH; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, William Edward Gilpin and Richard H. Beatty; brothers, William Casto and Larus Casto. Service will be Saturday, July 27, 2002, 11 a.m., at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery, Evans.
