Virgil Pulliam Obituary

Pulliam, Virgil D., Jr. Senior Vice-President of Real Estate Services at Draper and Kramer, September 22, 2009, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in 1940 to the late Virgil Pulliam, Sr., and Velma Hunter Pulliam in Chicago. Attended Holy Name of Mary Elementary School, Tilden Technical High School, and the University of Illinois. US Army Veteran, serving with NATO Forces in Europe. Mr. Pulliam is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Yvonne, daughter Vickye, granddaughter Ahnday Hashim-Huff, grandsons Usir Hashim-Huff and Diyari Pulliam, brother Ronald (Marie) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and sisters Yvonne A. Pulliam, Zelda Pulliam and Velma Pulliam of Chicago, nephew Allen D. Pulliam, niece Keri and Mallory Pulliam mother-in-law Letteria Hunter, brother-in-law Ira "Tommy" Hunter. The family appreciates the loving concern of Leon Athas, Thu Har tnett, and Chairman Douglas Kramer or Draper and Kramer. Memorial Services were held Friday, October 9 at Congregational Church of Park Manor, 7000 S King Drive- Repast at 4:00, service at 5:00.

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the Pulliam family. I have known Virgil for over 28 years and had a profound admiration for him. Our conversations were always about family and I cannot say enough about how much he loved his family. His words were such an encouragement. My love and respect will always be there for him.
