I miss you so much right now. I know you're always with me, but it's not the same. You all left so quickly and I felt like I became an orphan. I drive past our house and all I see is the porch and gangway and I cry. I'm alone here Non. I need you.

It's been nearly 10 years but I remember good advice and kind lessons taught several times a week. I miss her.

She was, by all accounts, my mom. I just thought of a question I have and realized I can't call her to ask. I miss you.

"Shy Vi" was a wonderful woman who embodied the meaning of "friend". She taught by example and only gave her opinion of what she would do to handle a problem if you really requested her input. Loyal, fun-loving, generous to a fault, gracious, supportive, kind and insightful are just a few of her many unique qualities that made her a friend to many. She had a special way of bridging a generation gap, a color and cultural gap and any differences between her and other people to offer the very best of friendship. She will be greatly missed and her memory treasured; the many things I learned from her will be constant reminders of faith, hope and love.

We are so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a wonderful lady and we are sure she will be greatly missed.
None of us will forget her famous taffy apples at Halloween time, not to mention her gift for crocheting.
God bless her and may she have eternal rest and peace. Thinking of all of you,

Vi's been my sister for 79 years and I'll never forget her. She was a humble, kind and generous person with a heart as big as a house. She had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome. She will be missed.

I have so many happy memories of Aunt Violet. I remember all the times going to her house with Nona. She always had a box of kittens on the porch. She always made special Christmas cookies and we always had to stop on Christmas to see the family and have her gnocchi. I am so sorry for the families loss. I know she is in heaven with Nona, Shirley, and Uncle John. I bet they are singing Croatian songs!!! Love you Aunt Violet
