Velez, Vincent S. age 75, Korean War Veteran, beloved husband of 48 years to Anna Marie (nee Arrigo), loving father of Susan (Frank) Schmitt and Linda (Michael) Edwards, beloved son of the late Felix and Justa, fond grandfather of Lisa, Frank and Stacy, dearest brother-in-law of Angeline (John) Reidl, Marlene (Bill) O'Shaughnessy and the late Robert (Laverne) Arrigo and Salvatore Arrigo, dear brother of Angeline (James) Sanchez, Antoinette (Andrew) Martinez and the late Lupe (Joseph) Cervantes, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday, 8:45 a.m., from Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home, 544 W. 31st St. (formerly Blake-Lamb Bridgeport Funeral Home), to St. Barbara Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary. Retired employee for Mc Master Carr. Visitation Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. 312-225-8500.

I'm sorry for your loss. May the memories of good times bring you comfort. My heart is with all of you at this time of grief. May God guide you and help you through these days.

Remembering You
Your time on earth seemed all too brief
because I wanted you in my life forever.
And although I really miss you,
in my heart I know that you are at peace.
Still, countless times throughout the day
I find myself remembering you.
Although I cannot see or hear you,
I know that you are with me.
I'll feel you in the warmth of the summer sun.
I'll see you in the brilliance of autumn leaves.
You'll be beside me in the peacefulness of a gentle snowfall
and rejoice with me at the emergence
of the first flowers of spring.
I'm thankful for the times we shared
and the priceless memories too;
for those memories are a comfort now when I lovingly -
Remember You.
