Vince was such a fun guy and a good friend to Ralph. I remember him fondly through all of our Squire's Reunion years in Vegas and Laughlin :). Great times!

Our deepest sympathy to Carol & the Chirillo family. We knew we were going to lose him, but when it actually happens, it is gut wretching.
Who will now relate stories of a half-a -century ago as if they happened yesterday?
He will remain in our hearts & smiles forever.

Vince was a wonderful, unique, and fun guy to the many people who knew him. He looked the part of a mafia hit man, but was really anything but! He was usually the guy breaking up a fight (for example, in the old Star Lounge on 79th street), rather than starting one. He loved people and it showed everywhere he went. He would engage people in conversation wherever he met them I understand his funeral drew a huge number of friends reflecting his wide appeal. This included everyone from the guys he worked with to the store clerks he befriended at the local Jewel store, where he shopped. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to hear the stories and hoist a few to Vince at the 'Irish wake' that followed the funeral.
One of Vince's charming ways was his ability to remember and relate in an almost 'stream of consciousness' manner the many experiences and people he had met. Further, he could connect events and people together and reveal detailed personal information surrounding both the people and events almost automatically. There were few 'short' conversations with Vince. He had a childlike curiosity about everything, which was part of his charm. He was one entertaining guy and will be missed by all who knew him.
On the other hand, I was like Carole and the rest of his family and friends in hoping for his passing at the end. Sadly, when there is no 'blue sky' and someone is suffering as he was, this is the only resolution that is humane. We can only hope he is 'on the other side' entertaining and amazing those with him, like he did with us, while we had him.

I'm sorry for your loss Chirillo family. May you enjoy the many years of fond memories you have of Vincent and allow the peace of God to be with you during this difficult time (Philippians 4:7).
