Vince was my friend, he welcomed me to IDOT and sat next to me for the last 2 1/2 years. I found a good and faithful friend in him. I will miss seeing him first thing every morning, always a kind word for me. It's a loss I will never forget. I'm so glad I knew him.

Heather and I offer our heartfelt condolensces. I have a lifetime of wonderful memories from spending time with "Uncle Vince." In reflection, he has always been the most kind, warm and gentle man blessed with an amazing family surrounding him.
We sadly are not able to stay in Chicago this week for the wake and funeral. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
