To Dee and the girls... sorry to learn of Vince's passing. Got to know Vince as a boss you worked with and not for; as a devoted husband and father who called home at least once a day to see if all were well and in good health. I remember those lunches at various restaurants around the Sun-Times building between 1960 and'64 where all the world's ills were often discussed and a few even resolved
Ah yes, Vince taught me well though
he was not a teacher. "Ed, if I wanted someone to screw up that
merchandising creative, I'd have done it myself" said Vince. He showed a confidence in me to keep trying to do a better job.. His counsel served me well then and in
later years Thanks Vince and Semper Fi. Ed Potempa/Chicago

Dee;
I am so sorry for your loss. I apologize for not being able to attend the services but please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. During our many little chats at work (i miss those!) you'd speak about Vince with such love that I always thought I could only be so lucky to find and share that kind of love with somebody who would be my best friend too. I know there are no words that can bring you comfort at this difficult time, but please know that I am thinking of you and keeping you and your family in my prayers.

I just came across the notice of Vince and I am saddened at his passing. I too, came out of U of I at Navy Pier and applied for a job at the Sun-Times in 1961. I was assigned to the 7th floor merchandising department and Vince was my first boss at the paper. He was a terrific boss and co-worker and was always there to mentor. I went on to join the service and then had my own ad agency for 30 years. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Vince contributed much to many throughout his career. You can be very proud of his life. I'm grateful that I got a chance to know him.

To The Entire Agresti Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of one of my favorite bosses, Vince. He was super to work for and I was very saddened to hear of his passing.

I am going to try to attend the wake tomorrow, but my mom who is now 92, suffered a mini-stroke/heart attack and also has dementia so it's really hard for me to get out these days. If I am unable to make it, I will send something in the mail.

Again, my deepest sympathies on your loss. He was a very good person, delightful to be with and an all around good guy who will be sorely missed by all his family, friends and former co-workers.

I'm happy he did get to enjoy some retirement. After 45 years, it was well-deserved. Love always,
