This is one of the most profound losses for our family. I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for all of the kind words that I have been given in this most difficult time. Thank you for what you have done and will do. Tee Tee as we called her will truly be missed. She was a pioneer of love, faith and understanding.

To the family of:
Rev. Velma E. Chears
I send my condolences on the loss of your loved one.
Rev. Chears was a lovely person and she will always be remembered. She not only was a Minister at CUT but a friend also. She always made you feel so comfortable in her presence (with a hug, her beautiful smile and the soft words she would speak.)
Rev. Chears extended a kind deed to me that will never be forgotten. My Mom, who I just lost in November, 2003, had hip surgery in November of 2000 and Rev. Chears came to the hospital and prayed by my Mom's bedside with me before she went to surgery. (And of course everything went well.)
Rev. Chears was truly a wonderful person and I'm glad I had the opportunity to know her.
God Bless

Rev. Chears will always be part of my life. She reached out to me at a time when most others around me, even my closest relatives, were oblivious to my sadness. Rev. Chears saw me with her spiritual eye and she lovingly gave me good advice. Afterwards, evertime I saw her she smiled and embraced me. She helped me to understand that we are all apart of One Family. The world is a better place because of her.
Her love remains with us as a fitting tribute to her life.
