Tyrone McDowell Obituary

In one week, I ran into someone who was on our bowling league, and she asked about Tyrone, I told her about his passing, she was surprised and sad mentioned how he was such a nice guy. His smile was infectious, then I came across a t-shirt in my summer bin from Blue Harbor Inn, Tyrone went on vacation and brought his teammates back blue t-shirts. He may be gone but he is still present. Thinking of you Tyrone!

I knew Ty At Engine 49, And he taught me allot about the job I will miss him very much.You have my deepest sympathys.

When I was a relief Lieutenant I always enjoyed working with Ty at Engine 49. I'm retired now and Ty's passing is such a shock to me. Many things can and will be said about Tyrone. What I'll remember most about him though is his spirit and that great big smile!

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Having lost a brother suddenly a little more than a year ago, I truly understand the emotions that you are encountering at this sorrowful time. But, please know that time does heal all and that others have you in their prayers.

"TY" was an excellent firefighter. I spent 12 years at Engine 49 working on the shift that relieved Ty. He was definitely a good Fireman. Good natured and he will be missed. Joe Jamen

With deepest sympathy to Tyrone's family. We have come to know Tyrone through Brunswick Zone Bowl. A very kind, sweet, friendly, man. He will be missed on Tuesday nights and everyday! Our prayers are with his loved ones.

Uncle Tyrone, although you are physically not with me today, I'll always cherish the memories you've provided me over the years. So many memories that now bring tears to my eyes, but yet laughter in my heart. I'll cherish the times you cared for me while I was a child, letting me get away with just about anything. I'll keep the memories of my adulthood when you and I laughed and talked. I'll always forever remember you as my friend and my bowling team mate. Most of all I'll never forget that you were ALWAYS there for me no matter what. Although my heart is heavy and I miss you oh so much, I'll try to remember what you would say, "what's wrong with you fool" which then makes me remember your warm bright smile as you would grit your teeth. You had such a big heart and would do anything for anybody. I will miss you dearly. I love you uncle Tyrone.
