Trevor Pickering Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Trevor Price Pickering, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001. Born in 1935 in England, he and his wife emigrated from England to Canada in 1959, and came to America in 1967, settling in Williamsburg in 1973. Upon his retirement from BASF in 1993, they went to Marco Island, in Florida, and played in the sun for several years before returning to Williamsburg earlier this year. Trevor has left behind many who loved him dearly: his wife of 43 years, Kathleen; three daughters and families, Debora and Phil Rosche, Julie and Stephen Martin, Nancy and Paul Newman; four grandsons, Travis and Alex Rosche and Christopher and Zachary Newman. Among his far-flung family, he leaves his mother, brother and family in Australia, a sister and brother and families in England, a sister-in-law and family in Spain, a brother-in-law and family in New Zealand, as well as many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg, followed by a gathering at the Port Anne Club House. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Support Care of Williamsburg, 312 Waller Mill Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185. We love you, Bumpy. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of arrangements.
