Not sure what to say?

June 4, 2018

Travis,
Even after all this time I still find myself thinking of you often..
Its Heartbreaking to think of back then and wish I could go back and have the opportunity to changed things. You were honestly one of the most genuine people I have ever had the privilege to know. You were a reflection of the type of parents you had.
I know youre resting in paradise with your parents, Clarence and Mary Beth.
So much I wish I could say but Im sure you already know...
Youre loved and missed

Travis

From the first day that I met you in Cancun I knew from that moment that you were someone special. We shared many great times together and even though we were in different states we found a way to keep in touch through the years (via e-mail or phone). I admired the way you were, and the friendship that we kept strong. In November when I had seen you (it had been two years since the last time) I was only able to see you once out of the entire time I was in Chicago. I am grateful that I saw you for that short time before you passed, but I still wish we could have hung out a little more. I'm hurt, lost, lonely, and truly devastated, but I have finally realized in time that things will get better. Travis you were a great friend and I will miss you till the day we meet again!!!

I remember Travis from my days at Loyola and he was one of the most sincere people on campus. I will always remeber him for his positve energy and his contagious smile. He had a way of making each and everyone feel special. Although, I lost touch with him over the years, he will always hold a place in my memory. My condolences go out to all who had been touched by Travis. What a wonderful spirit he was!

Though I wasn't close friends with Travis, he made it feel like we were when he was around. He had a true gift of kidness, one which we can all learn from. We are better for having known people like Travis. Though it provides little relief at this time, know that Travis made the world around him a better place. My heart and prayers go out to all of his loved ones.

I hope the courts up in heaven are soft on your knees,

And the events you promote up there are like 400 degrees,

I hope the people in heaven are as touched by your smile,

As were down here for too short of awhile.

Although you were with us on Earth for just 27 years,

There are not many people that we could call one of your peers.

You gave us so much in so short of a time,

That we want to stop the shot clock and turn back the hands of time,

But we can't so we all have been sad and we've cried,

And we laughed when we talked of the good times with pride,

We shared with Travis Tyrone Teague over the years,

We all say we love and miss him & hope that he hears,

All the people that are heartbroken and stricken with tears,

Over the loss of one person that no could mirror.

We miss you Big Dog and thank you for all-

I'm speaking for Marcus, Chris, family, all your friends and Hall,

The happiness you brought to us even when you were having tough days,

We all promise the memories you left with us will never fade.

May you rest in peace.

We have been touched by TRAVIS!

And while we mourn his passing from our lives, we cherish what a wonderful friend he was to our nephew Paul. Two Loyolans who loved basketball as much as they loved life. We will never forget the weekend that they crashed at our home while playing in a Gus Macker tournament at the high school adjacent to our residence. They ate and laughed and played hard. They also WON and presented my husband with their winning plaque! These are memories to cherish. The T's in his name simply stand for TERRIFIC.

May he lead the choir of heavenly ANGELS with his beautiful smile this Christmas!

Travis I love you. It is too hard to go on without you. I know you would not condone a tear in my eye, thats why I hold my head up and keep on moving. You always make the best of every situation so it gives me confidence to know that you are rockin heaven now. You are probally up there shaking your head at all of us mourning at your funral. Like Jay Z said, you were too good for earth anyway. I need you and miss you dearly. p.s. Lily says she misses you.

What can I say about Travis... He was a great person who's life ended way too soon. I knew him for less that a year and I will not forget him. He had an in-explainable way of "capturing" people. He will be truly missed. My condolences go out to everyone that was close to him both family and friends. Travis, may you R.I.P. You are gone but definitely not forgotten.

To all the friends, family, and lucky remaining many, who were blessed with the oppurtunity to have met Travis Teague and shared in the good times with such a "cool cat" I wish you the best; Travis will remain in all of our prayers.

Travis was truly one of those extraordinary people that inevitably left an "imprint" on everyone he knew.

One of the multiple gifts Travis posessed was his natural ability to bring happiness and a positive light upon situations, I thankfully was able to share in some of those great moments and will always remember Travis' bright shiny smile- through prayer may his light shine on.

what can i say....i remember when travis and I first met at Loyola U. i was a new kid just looking to make some friends. i was living with my parents at that time and it was hard to make friends. when i met travis he made me feel welcome. he respected me for who I was and actually thought i was cool. from that day on travis and I were very close friends. i loved that guy like a brother..we made each other a promise that we would always remain close friends but unfortunately things change. i feel like i never got a chance to really talk to him why we stopped being friends. i will always remember the good times we had in Cancun, Acapulco etc. i will always remember the laughs and cries we shared together. i will always cherish the lessons he taught me like big brother would. rest in peace.

The first time I saw Travis was in a picture from this years halloween party. He was dressed as Elvis and he had the biggest smile on his face. I knew instantly that he was a cool guy. Unfortunately, Travis and I never met face to face. We made plans to hang out recently and it saddens me to know that will not happen now. I only knew him for a short time, but I miss him already. My heart goes out to his family, friends and co-workers.

I just can't understand why some of the most wonderful, genuine people, in our lives, have to be taken away, like Trav. He was always a nut and always brought a smile to your face. I have been lucky enough to have had Travis in my life, and from here on out, he will always remain in my heart. He will be greatly missed.

I remember the first time I saw Travis. At the time I called him "stripes" because I hadn't actually met him yet but he was wearing a striped sweater and hat. I knew there was something special about him. I was lucky to meet him soon after and was just blown away by his positive energy. It's hard to understand why this happened to such a great person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Please take care of one another.

I'm really glad to have had you as a part of my extended family (as I call it). It's very hard for me to accept & understand this untimely tragedy. It's reassuring for me to think of you being in a better place, ecspecially now that you are with your Mom & Dad again.
