Toby had a wonderful sense of humor. After a meeting I complained to her that one of our colleagues used the word "tweek" a lot. A few days later I found paper pieces of "tweek" in different WordArt font, sizes, styles, and shapes in my folders, between book pages, in binders, and in drawers. Years later I was still finding these cut outs.

To Toby's Family -- Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I've known Toby for many years as a colleague at Oakton. Early last summer I ran into her in a store, and she told me about her work at the school and her life since she left the college. She seemed energetic and enthusiastic -- especially about the school children. I thought: this is how I hope I to be when I retire! Toby was an inspiration to all who knew her: smart, fun-loving, and unafraid to say what she thinks. She will be missed.

We have been cleaning Toby's house for the past year, and are saddened by her passing. She was always nice to our ladies and was very pleasant to work with.

Your Mother brought a bright spirit to all of us in the Learning Center,
as well as being dedicated to the students for whom she was a genuine guide.
I am glad I ever got to know and work with her and to have, as you must, great memories of her
My condolences, Juele

My heart goes out to you, Toby's family. Knowing how much she loved life and being with people, I feel so bad that she suffered before going Home. I'm sure she would have enjoyed life for many more years. She loved her family and she loved her work. I got to know and love her during the few years she worked at Oakton's Skokie campus. It wasn't easy to be in a bad mood when she was around. She could always do or say something to make me laugh. She enjoyed planning and doing whatever came to mind to stir the fire. At heart, Toby was always a little kid who loved to play and to get into trouble. Sooner or later, it would be figured out that 'Toby did it' and she was proud of it too.
May you find peace knowing she's at peace and keeping fond memories of her close to your heart.

Toby will be remembered for her dedication to the students at Westmoor School. She blessed us with her humor and with her ability to make us smile each and every day. Her positive outlook on life was truly amazing. She will always be remembered. Our condolences to her family.
Fondly,
