Dear Kathy,

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband Tim. He will be missed by his many friends. Lumpi and I will cherish the memories of our numerous visits with Tim at Edward Hospital. I've enjoyed Tim's editorials for as many years he had been writing them. Of course my favorite ones are when he mentioned Lumpi and the most recent when he paid tribute to my husband Al. May the Lord bless you with peace and comfort.

Love and Prayers,

Tim and I arrived in Naperville in 1973. He as a Naperville Sun reporter and me as the Executive Director of the Naperville Park District. We had a great relationship - he was an outstanding reporter - always positive, looked for the good in everything - could be critical if need be but enthusiastically covered Naperville in a sound journalistic manner. He will always remember when I asked him to hang out of the door of a helicopter to take pictures of our many soccer teams forming a soccer ball with their multicolored uniforms placed in each of the 5 sections of a soccer ball - Also the dedication and opening of Springbook Golf Course and Knoch Knolls park on the confluence to the rivers south of town.
Fairness, love of Naperville and his great writing skills were his trademark - I will miss him and sorry I did not get together with him more often after a I left Naperville - Walter Johnson

With all of my heart, I am so sorry for your loss.

To family of Timothy West, I am so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort knowing what the Bible states at Isaiah 33: 24: "No resident will say: ' I am sick.'" This will be done under God's Kingdom rule by Jesus Christ.

Kathy, Tim hired me when I first came to Naperville 27 years ago. He was so patient and kind. I admired his ability to write about any subject. Words just seemed to flow from him. He was quick-witted, a true journalist's journalist, a man I looked up to, a man who loved his town and whose town loved him right back. His town and I will miss him greatly. He was and institution.

Kathy, I'm out of town but just saw the news. I am so sorry. Tim was a community icon with his weekly articles over so many years. His writings always had a decency and even- handedness in them and it was hard not to appreciate his fine values, his wry wit and neighborly way. We've all lost somebody special in Tim's passing. He was a good man and my favorite curmudgeon. God rest his soul and keep you safe.

On behalf of the entire Wisniewski family, we extend our sympathy to Kathy and the West family. There is a sorrow that words cannot express and tenderness becomes the language of the heart.
