Timothy Stevens Obituary

Timothy Hayden Stevens, 43, of Newport Avenue, South Attleboro, died on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following an eight month illness.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on March 22, 1961, he was the son of Virginia Faye (Johnson) Stevens of North Attleboro and the late H. Russell Stevens. He was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where he remained a lifelong resident. At Attleboro High School he was a member of the school football team and was a member of the Vikings junior football league team.

Mr. Stevens was a stone setter for Herff-Jones in Warwick, Rhode Island for nine months prior to retiring due to disability last July. Previously he had been employed at the Robbins Company in Attleboro for 10 years; the former L. G. Balfour Company in Attleboro for six years and for his brother’s company, Setters, in North Attleboro as a master diamond setter for three years.

Since a young child he enjoyed making candles and had recently formed “Tim’s Candles”, a company based out of his home and sold candles to various area retail outlets.

A softball lover for many years, he was a pitcher and played for several area teams including Waste Management, the South Attleboro American Legion and Ellsworth Painting.

He was a dedicated New England Patriots fan and enjoyed spending time on his computer.

In addition to his mother, he leaves a daughter: Nicole Lee Stevens of Attleboro; a son: Craig H. Stevens of South Attleboro; three grandchildren: David R. Cerasuolo, Madison A. Cerasuolo and Hayden P. Twitchell all of Attleboro; three brothers: David C. Stevens of Attleboro; Jeffrey S. Stevens of Cumberland, Rhode Island and Gregory T. Stevens of South Attleboro and several nieces and nephews.
