I loved Tim and Rita so much! They were like a brother and sister to me and so many laughs as we aged! God bless each and every one of their smiling kids too.

Tim Byrnes was the nicest, most laid back guy in town. He could be serious without seeming urgent and kept things even keel. He also had the best "man giggle" of a laugh. Happy Belated Birthday, Tim. We miss you.

Dear Rita and family, tho I never had the opportunity to meet Tim, I have heard many stories and know of the fine young men and women his children have become, he leaves quite a legacy! May you all find peace in the life ahead of you.

Dear Byrnes Family,

I am so sorry and deeply saddened by the loss of Timmy. As kids, he was "Martha's Older Brother," who was always quick with a smile and hello, and was never at a loss for corny jokes for us.

Martha, I am certain your love of the sportscar comes not from "The Pumpkin," but rather, from one of Timmy's Corvettes. What a great brother for trusting a newly licensed 16-year-old and all her screaming girlfriends to pile into his car and cruise the streets of Beverly!

You are all in our thoughts and prayers, and may brighter and happier days come soon.

With much love,

Larry Murray

To the Byrnes and O'Donnell Clans:
Timbo will be sorely missed. He was a major part of my development. We had many side by side adventures as children, adolescents and young adults together. Later in life, after moving away from Chicago, I often stayed with Tim and Rita and enjoyed countless kitchen table chats with all their kids and extended kids. There was much love in the family and it still exists today. My heart goes out to all of you. Remember his smile that always beamed bright with mischief.

Dear Aunt Mary Jeanne, Rainey and cousins, My heart just aches for all of you. I have so many fun memories of Tim at family parties. The best (that just made me laugh as I write) is of Tim's narration of the Looney Picnic slides. We've seen them 100 times, but always crack up like it's the first time we've seen the beehive hairdos and the black sun glasses. When I think of Timmy, I'll have a smile on my face and a prayer in my heart.
Love,
Marianne

To my dear friends and neighbors,
I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss and more sorry than I can say that I am so far away and cannot be there for the wake. Please know my heart goes out to you all at this time. I remember that when I was home visiting in recent times Timmy called out to me from down the street. I hadn't seen him in many years and was moved that he not only recognized me but was genuinely happy to see me, as I was to see him. Timmy had a kind spirit; may it animate all who survive him. Love,
Grace

Tim Byrnes was one of greatest bosses I have ever had. He cared so much for the people on the fire department and in the alarm office. Most of all he cared about his family. Every story he told to me, ended with a story about his children. He loved you guys very much. Your father was a great man. In the short time I knew him, I will truely miss him. Rest in peace TB.

BYRNES FAMILY,
Deepest condolences for the loss of a good man. He will be missed at the Annual Fire Alarm Office Golf Outing in Michigan.I will miss picking him up for the Golf Outing the most. His stories on the way up were great even tho I heard them 1000 times. I'll miss his winter time saying of "Hey Wilbo..the hawk is out tonite, ya better bundled up". And my favorite line was "Hey, hows your old Aunt Rose?" GOD SPEED TIMMY!!
