Thomas J. Whennen, 91, passed away in Bonita Springs, FL on August 8, 2021. Beloved husband to Eileen "Sis" (nee Fitzpatrick). Dear son to the late Thomas and Gertrude Whennen. He was predeceased by his sisters Donna Budde and Kay Prieb and brother Robert Whennen. Loving father to Kate Mindak, Scott (Gina) Whennen, Tom (Denise) Whennen, Cheryl Whennen and Frankie his dog. Fond cousin to many. Devoted uncle to Larry (Dina) Marschke and many nieces and nephews. Proud grandfather to 7 and great-grandfather to 6.

Tom was born in Peoria, IL in 1930 and spent most of his life as a Chicago resident. He was a member of the US Navy. Tom was an extraordinary business man and started Triple A Catering in Chicago in 1963. He built a successful business with hard work, dedication and great pride. He and Sis traveled the world, followed their dreams and had a wonderful 44 year marriage. Tom was an avid golfer and member, for the past 22 years, at Shadow Wood Country Club in Bonita Springs, FL. Tom was a friend to many and was loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
