Thomas Tyszka Obituary

My deepest sympathies to the Tyszka family. Dr. Tyska was most kind to me as a young nurse at Rush and then during my career switch at Good Sam. I've always remembered him over the years - he made such a positive impact.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom from the time he came to Rush until 1991 when I left only to be reunited with him at Good Sam a year later. I have only the fondest memories of not only a fine and very dedicated doctor but one of the nicest men you could ever hope to meet.A very special person to us all who knew him.My sympathy to the family and may the memory of good times be with you always.

Tom was my parents' next door neighbor for years in Downers Grove. He was good neighbor and great man. He showed me his train set a couple times which were quite impressive! I know he is in a place where only good experiences await him, and he will be able to play around with the coolest trainset EVER.

I worked several years at Good Samaritan Hospital with Dr. Tyska . My deepest condolences to his sons. He was a genuinely good man.

Please accept my condolences on your loss. I worked with Dr. Tyszka at Rush and he was one of the finest people to work for and with. He was also a great cardiologist. He had the respect of many that he worked with and the patients he treated. He would also talk of his sons with such pride and love. May he rest in a better place looking down on his sons.

To: Daniel & Nicholas, Please accept our sincerest sympathy, prayers & condolences in this difficult time. I will always remember Tom as he was, the doctors doctor,with his 24/7 dedication to his vocation. I will also remember the musician playing at weddings and parties, jazz or polkas, he had the drive to succeed in many areas. Somehow he seemed to give me the kick I needed during the tough times in med shool, internship & residency. He was a great cousin, friend & mentor. We are truly sorry we could not make it up there for the wake and funeral.
