Dear Tom,

I couldnt believe the news when I heard it-I still can't. You left us before we could link up again.

I was just in Clarendon Jamaica working on my most recent project and I spoke about you to some people that I had just met. I think it was the day after you left us-I didnt know you had gone until that evening. Funny how that works...sad really.

I have some copper/gold ore samples from the mining project that you and I talked about the last time I saw you. That was October 30.

It was real nice to see you and your dad standing side by side that day in your back yard. He looked great...you both did.

I don't think I have seen him since before your mom passed away and it was real nice to see him together with you again. I never told you that because I didnt think it mattered. Now it does.

Anyway I was looking forward to showing you some of the rock samples I collected on my trip over a rum and coke like the last time.

I also looked forward to hearing your hunting stories and seeing the pictures of your new cabin. I guess that will have to wait a while until I have a chance to catchup with you.

Tom you've bin a good friend for these past thirty odd years and will remain that way for a long time to come. I don't know the details about how this all came to be nor who was with you when it happend. I only hope and pray that the end came quick and that you and your friends can now rest at ease at the Right hand of The Father for an eternity.

Until next time I bid you peace.

Jim

Tom was a wonderful man as well as a very talented artist. He put his heart & soul into his painting & restoration projects. I am grateful to have a piece of his soul in my home. Tom beautifully restored an old sewing cabinet for me. This treasure is now showcased in my home, and will be cherished always. My deepest sympathy to Mr. Swanson and family.
