Thomas Raclaw Obituary
Beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Schmelter); loving father of Jeanette (Barry) Hoffman, Andrew (Maribeth) Raclaw; Mary Raclaw; and James Raclaw; beloved son of the late Stanley and the late Florence (nee Guzowski; fond grandfather of Lauren (John), Erin, Nicholas, and Abigail; dear brother of David B. (Audrey), Gregory (Janice), the late Claude (Robin), Robert (Ruth Ann), and the late Frederick (Connie); fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Thomas proudly served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. He graduated from Quigley Preparatory Seminary and Loyola University of Chicago. Member of Alpha Delta Gamma Fraternity, member of American Legion and a Friend of Bill W.
Tom retired after 25 years of service with Wallace Computer Services, formerly known as Wallace Business Forms, where he served as a Human Resources Manager. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to National Alliance of Mental Illness, 3803 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203. Visitation will be held on Friday; October 21st from 4:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home, 544 West 31st Street, Chicago. Chapel Prayers 9:20 A.M. on Saturday October 22nd at Michael Coletta Sons Funeral Home followed by procession to St. James Catholic Church 2907 S. Wabash Ave., for Mass of Christian Burial 10: 00 A.M. Intermen Holy Cross Cemetry (Calumet City) For more information 312-225-8500.

I graduated with Tom from QPS in 1957. Tom was a great classmate and friend. I will offer Mass for Tom and the family. Rest in peace Tom, You earned it. Fr. Jack Ryan

Tom was our HR manager at the Wallace Hillside Illinois plant. I had the privilege to work with Tom for many years. Tom was known for organizing the Annual Wallace picnics and Christmas Holiday dinner dance. Both of which were huge employee and family events. Tom would always enjoy the White Sox outings and be very involved in organizing that event. His smile and laugh would always energize a room. Tom was a great asset to the company with his ethics during his working career as well as being a dependable and fair HR manager. I appreciated all his hard work and efforts during the time we worked together. Rest in piece my friend.

I meet Thomas a few years ago. and would see him once a week for fellowship with a bunch of His friends. He was the most jolly person I have ever met and so so loving. and his smile would light up the room. I will miss seeing him and his hugs. Winnie.
