I knew Father Tom in the early 1980's at the Catholic Alumni Club. He was a very wise and warm man who gave great advice and treated everyone with the utmost respect and compassion. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace. We will all see him again some day in heaven. I will never forget the great advice he gave me. It was a pleasure to have known him.

I knew Father Tom Pelton when he oversaw the Teen Club at St. Jerome's in Chicago in the early '70s.
I was a Lutheran, but participated with my friends. He would seem to enjoy conversations with us, and was always gracious and quick to answer any question I had about liturgy or symbolism that was different than I was used to.
I thought of him often over these past 40+ years, even as recently as this week.
The world will miss him, but I believe Our Father greeted him with "Well done, Good and Faithful Servant". Our condolences to his family and parishioners.

Fr. Tom and I worked for many years at St. Elizabeth's hospital. Whenever we chatted the conversation always turned to when the last time we golfed and when the next time we would try to improve our golf swing.
I was very saddened to learn of Fr. Tom's passing. But knowing Tom --he is probably golfing now with St. Peter, God Bless

My condolences to the entire family. I always enjoyed his company and profound humor. He was a very good man and a good priest. When I worked with him during his time as St. Jerome Teen Club moderator, he always made a positive impression with the kids and adult volunteers. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
