Thomas Mitchell Obituary

I'm so sorry to hear of Thomas' passing. Of the 535 graduates in our senior class, Thomas stick's out because he was a "good guy". Even though I only saw him once or twice since we graduated he has always been in my memories. I know that God has a special place for him above.

To the family of Thomas R. Mitchell I am so sorry for the lost of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us and losing a loved one is something we cannot get use to. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our dear loved one again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrender his soul for many. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.

Such a joy to be around and he truly could light up the room with his smile and kindness that he showed each time I saw him. He will be missed.

Just starting out Big Coach Mitchell , assisted by Little Coach Mitchell, was a blessing to the North Caddo Football Team. Boys were trained, disciplined and loved by their coaches, What a God's Blessing. Also, Mrs. Mitchell you were so young, beautiful and full of life. Ronda and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. We have always admired Thomas for his faith and counted him as a dear friend. One cannot remember Thomas without recalling his love for laughter. We looked forward to our Sunday School class meeting on Tuesday nights to go eat together because Thomas was sure to make us laugh. Know that you and your family are in our prayers during this difficult time. God bless you.

Mr. Mitchell will be greatly missed. What a wonderful legacy he leaves in his children. He was a great father and husband.

I was so sorry to hear about Coach Mitchell. Sorry for us, but as he himself taught me, rejoicing as he is resting with his Savior, Jesus Christ. I will never forget those High School Bible Studies, College and Career and those FCA retreats in Minden. We had wonderful times of fun and fellowship. Ty and Misty I will tell you from the experience of losing my own dad only the Lord will help make the burden of your loss "lighter" and the memories "sweeter" as the days and week pass by. I am praying for God to uplift you and your family tomorrow and in the days and week to come. Coach Mitchell was always such an encourager and his smile will be missed.

I've only met coach about 4 months when we hired me on at reunion energy. One of the first things I noticed about coach was his great Faith and Love for the Lord. I Considered it an Honor to have known him.My Thoughts and Prayers go out to the Mitchell Family.

To the Mitchell Family:
Over the last few years I go to know "The Old Coach" quite well. He brought alot of laughs to us at my parents home, my office, football games and around our hunting camp/horse farm. He came around when my father was down and out from surgery and lifted all of our spirits.
He was a great and generous man who will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only met Coach 4 months ago when he hired me at Reunion but I feel as though I have known him forever. I knew from the moment I met him that he was a special person and I feel so blessed that I got to know and love him. He will be missed so much by all who knew him.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Coach. He will truly be missed here at Reunion Energy Services. He was the tie that binded us together and we will carry his memory in our hearts forever. We still look for him to walk through the doors here at work; but then realize that he's walked through the gates of Heaven. May God bless you, Frances. You were blessed with a wonderful husband, your children with a wonderful father and your grandchildren, with a wonderful Papa "T". He loved all of ya'll very much.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Mitchell, he was such a great person, I remember you all when Ty and Misti were just learning how to run barrels and he was always coaching and picking on me! He always had a smile on his face and was always learning and trying to teach others. He will be missed by many people. I have not been around you all in years but I can still hear him laughing and coaching (encouraging) others to excel to the best of thier abilities.

There are not enough words to describe my memories of Thomas. The first would be when I was pregnant with Mandy and he teased me about letting Rawford run my horse for me. He asked to lease my horse for Ty cause he wanted Ty to learn barrelracing. Instead he leased a palimino and now look at Ty. He did his job well that Thomas. We have laughed with each other and hugged each other each time we met for the past 25 years. I loved Thomas and his family and will miss him a lot but will never forget him.

Sorry to hear about Thomas. He was a great guy and an inspiration to many. I know he will be missed by a multitude of people.

Tom was a great friend in my Fair Park days and my time in Shreveport. My memories are full of laughs and good times. Tom was one the the really good people. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

Judy and I are sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Thomas from about 10 years old at Kelly Memorial Baptist Church. I knew he was a special person even at that young age. Even though I haven't seen Thomas since high school I have known of his love of the Lord through some of his writings.
