Koziol Sr., Thomas Joseph Age 71, Lake Summerset, IL, died at 4:55 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in his home. Born February 4, 1945 in Chicago, IL the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stanley and Frances (Mazer) Koziol, Sr. Graduated from St. Mills High School, Class of 1963 and attended Loyola University. Married the former Dorothy M. Vondra in Chicago, IL on September 25, 1965. He was employed as a receiving supervisor by Jewel Foods for 43 years, retiring in 2004. Member of St. Mary Catholic Church and sang in the church choir since 2004. He was also a member of the Lake Summerset Fisherman's Club and Card Club at the American Legion. Survivors include wife, Dorothy Koziol, Lake Summerset, IL; sons, Thomas J. (Sandra) Koziol, Jr., Lake Summerset, IL and Todd (Tracey) Koziol, Burbank, IL; six grandchildren, Jeanne Wishard, Kaitlin Koziol, Samantha, Scott and Sean Koziol and Megan Riffel; four great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Thomas) Morrison, Marshall, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, JoAnn Riffel; and brothers, Charles and Ronald Koziol. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 602 West Main, Durand, IL. Visitation will be held at McCorkle Funeral Home-Durand Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Durand, IL from 4:00 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10 with a scripture service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Monday prior to the mass.
