Although I barely knew Tom through Dad's VFW Post in Woodridge, I was honored to come to know him best during our trip to Washington, DC when America finally recognized him and his WWII brothers during the dedication of their WWII Memorial in 2004. Tom was always warm and friendly and a really good "Joe." He laughingly joined in all our jokes and was a very good sport. I am sorry to see him gone from us, one of those from "The Greatest Generation." He leaves a legacy and example for us - and to Tom's family - you must be so proud. We shall never forget...
