I'm so sorry that the world has lost such an inspiring person who I so admired.
I served with Tom in Springfield and was a hoot to listen to his stories, adventures and following him down highway 55 to session.
I remember his lectures on the "House floor" and played a good game of tennis.
Tom and my memories of him are priceless.
Wih deepest sympathy,

Met Tom, Sandy and "the girls" on a motorhome caravan to Cabo San Lucas.
Having been a union electrician all of my life and discussing the labor movement with Tom was a real treat. I, (we) have lost a great spokesman and brother.
Tom, you will be missed.
Sandy, you are in my heart and prayers.

Sure shocked to hear about my old "roommate" and dear friend Tommy's, passing. He served his state and country very well. He was really the voice of labor during his days in the Illinois General Assembly. Many workers in our state benefited from the good work of Tom Hanahan. He will be sorely missed by his fellow trade unionist, his politcal associations, and the workers that he was so pround to represent.
With deepest sympathy, Robert Gibson.
