Dear Driscoll Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss of a wonderful man. Dr. Driscoll cared for my son and daughter all their lives. Both had severe asthma and pneumonias in addition to the usual illnesses. He self-lessly gave of his time, care and expertise weekdays, evenings,
Saturdays and Sundays. He had my daughter treated at Mayo Clinic, because he said, "I don't want to lose her". That young woman will graduate medical school this June and do her residency in Family Practice. Dr. Driscoll was tremendously generous man who gave so much to our family. He and all of you will be in my prayers.

To the Driscoll family,
We are very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. We had the opportunity to first meet your father through Leo High School. Kevin (70),Paul(75),and Mark(77) all graduated from Leo High School. My mother(Marie) also knew Dr. Driscoll from working in the Obstetrics department both at Little Co. of Mary and Palos Hospitals. Your father will be truly be remembered for all the great accomplishments in his life, but I am sure to you his greatest was that he was your husband and father. God Bless All of You. The Goods

I had the honor of working with Dr. Driscoll at Palos Community Hospital in pediatrics for many years. He was a dedicated, hard working physician. His compassion and tireless work on behalf of countless charities, as well as his advocacy for all children and healthcare professionals, will long be remembered.

Dear Mrs. Driscoll and family:
I was saddened to read of Dr. Driscoll's passing last week. Dr. Driscoll was my pediatrician. I have many memories of visiting his office. The one memory that I do not have but am told happened, was when I was coming out of my anesthia after having my tonsils removed and giving Dr. Driscoll a fierce right hook. Some things are better left not remembered. Dr. Driscoll was an excellent physician. I know he was a voice of experience and comfort to my mother many times concerning my sister, brother and I. It feels like a bit of my childhood is now gone knowing that Dr. Driscoll has passed away. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dr. Driscoll was a great doctor! Thank you.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Dr. Driscoll was an excellent pediatrician and is a roll model to future physicians. He was my physician from 1971 until 1994 (yes, he would even see me well into my 20s if it was an emergency since I didn't have a primary care doctor). His dedication was superb. So many times my parents called him at all hours--office or at home--because I was so ill. He recommended only the best care and had a warm heart. I will miss him.

My deepest sympathies to the Driscoll Family.
Doc Driscoll was a servant of God. I, like many others, share wonderful memories of Dr. Driscoll and family, mostly when he would make house calls when we were to sick to leave the house. He chased my brother around the house just to give him an injection of penicillin. He always made us feel better. He was wonderful to my family and our community. He will be missed by so many. God Bless the Driscoll family and may the Holy Spirit fill you all with His Peace and Joy just knowing that Doc did HIS work! You worked hard all your life Dr. Driscoll, now rest in the eternal light of Christ!

To Rita, Rita Marie, John, Jim,and Mary,
Words cannot express how very sorry we are to hear of your loss. Dr. Tom was an amazing man. His dedication was endless and inspirational. His caring and concern for his patients was tireless. There are so many stories that I can think of of how doc touched our lives in so many ways. One of the many amazing gifts that doc posessed was that he had this ability to make you feel so special and that he was caring for you as though you were the only patient of his in all the world. I remember him coming to our home when we were kids and he would chase us around the house to try to examine us. Years later after I was married and started a family, Doc would always make my husband and I feel at ease. He gave us his home phone number in case we needed him. He would meet us at the emergency room in the middle of the night to examine our kids when they were ill. He did this with grace, and love , and unselfish, unending care. Again making us feel like we were his only patients. After talking with people about their experiences with doc, it is amazing to me to see that he treated every one of his patients with that same love and care. So If we had a sick child and were calling in the middle of the night and the majority of his other patients were doing the same thing, then when did this poor man sleep!! Dedication!! My mom would always say that Doc Driscoll Is a True Humanitarian and One In a Million -she was right!! When one of my daughters was very ill in the hospital, Doc would give his usuall amazing care. He knew that my daughter loved horses and that she rode quite a bit. So he made a deal with her. He told my daughter that if she would promise to hurry up and get better that he would take her to the horse races where his horse was at and that she could sit with him. Well thanks to prayers and Doc Driscoll, my daughter recovered and spent a wonderful day with her hero, Doc Driscoll, at the races with the horses. I was privledged to grow up in a neighborhood and attend St. Al's with Rita, John, Jim, and Mary. Played softball in the lot and had a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing your dad with us.He touched our lives more than you could ever imagine. I Was in girlscouts with Mrs. Driscoll, the most patient, loving, and giving women on the face of this planet. The sacrafices that she made to support her husbands love of his work is inspirational. You are all so very special. Doc will never ever be forgotten. May he be at peace in the arms of our heavenly Father. Our deepest heartfelt sympathy.

I would like to offer my condolences to entire Driscoll family. I still have many fond memories of the picnics Dr Driscoll would host at his house for the doctors and nurses at Palos Hospital. My mother Sharon worked for him and with him for many years. He was also our pediatrician growing up.

Our sincere sympathy to Mrs. Driscoll and the Driscoll family. I met Dr. Driscoll in l976 with the birth of our lst child. He was recommended to us as the best - and he was! I will always remember the daily and late night visits to the pediatric ICU. I will always remember him telling me to come on in to the office (after hrs.) he'd wait for me and usually before I left he'd tell me where the great sales were that week especially on fruit. I will always remember him giving me his home phone # in case I ever needed it. His dedication to his patients and their families made our pediatric years alot less worrisome. Our family was truly blessed to know Dr.Driscoll. We thank him and all of you for giving so much of himself to all of us.

We will surely miss Doc. He took special care of my two boys Michael & James all through their youth. Doc also took care of my wife Colleen as a youngster & into her adult life. He was there to care for us as children and as adults. He was very dedicated to his profession. He cared so deeply about all people young and old his whole life. He is now with god and his angels, caring for him.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Driscoll's family. I was able to grow a close relationship with doc because i had so many health problems from birth and all through my childhood. He was always there for me and my family whenever we needed him, no matter what day or time. He was my doctor from 1976 untill 1993. But anytime I was sick and layed up in Christ Hospital with respitory problems he would come and make sure everything was alright.
Thanks Doc!

Our deepest sympathy to Dr. Driscoll's family. He helped keep our two children in the best of health. What sacrifices you made in the behalf of his beloved patients! He admitted our son to the hospital on a New Years day many years ago. I also was guilty of disturbing his sleep in the middle of the night a few times for a medicine prescription to calm a screaming child with an ear infection. He was truly a devoted man. Thank you all for understanding. We know he is definitely in heaven where he deserves to be. You are all in our prayers. Blessings to his wonderful family.

Dr. Driscoll was a wonderful person! He took great care of my family. Every time we needed him, he was there for us. He would open up his office in the middle of the night or meet us wherever we were. He would buy food and items for the needy people with money from his own pocket. He was truly a selfless man. We love him and will miss him very much.

I first met Dr. Driscoll in Sept., 1940 in the halls of Leo HS. We became close friends and I always admired how smart he was. I always wanted to sit behind him to see if he had the right answers(ha ha.) As we went through school Doc was always on the honor roll and that wasn't bad for someone who did there homework on the bus on his way to school(doc had a photographic memory.)
After graduating Leo I went off to war and the doc pursued his medical career. Later he joined the Army and was stationed in San Antonio. We reunited after 1952 when Loretta & I married and started our family. The best thing that ever happened to us was having the doc as our pediatrition for our 8 children. No matter when you called he was always available-morning, noon and night.
Doc was one of the earliest recipients of the Man of the Year award at Leo HS. He was more than generous in many ways to Leo. Leo probably wouldn't be open today if it weren't for the generousity of the doc. The doc is a fine example of the Leo motto, Facta Non Verba(Deeds, not Words.) Thats what made the doc the GREAT man that he was.
My condolences to Rita, Dr. Rita, John, Jimmy, & Mary. Your are in our prayers and thoughts. The world was a better place thanks to Dr. Driscoll. I will really miss him and always treasured our friendship.
