I'm saddened to just be learning of the passing of Tom. I got to know Tom several years back at LVPC when I used to take my dad to the Senior program there for fellowship and exercise. Tom was very friendly and indeed a funny man.

When I was asked to teach art at the academy, which was an alternative high school housed there (now closed), I decided to introduce the idea of teaching the students improv. After getting the OK, Tom joined me to work with the students.

The young people were hesitant at first, but soon warmed up to the exercises. As a final, the students performed infromt of the seniors and were very well received. These kids really came out of their shell and grew in confidence. The effect it had on them was further seen at graduation when they were to give a speech about how they got to the academy and what they would be doing after graduation. It went so well that I received many compliments. I was so glad to work with Tom. We had a lot of fun. I really will miss him.

Thank you, Tom for being such a warm welcome to my dad and I and for your wonderful friendship.
