I served with Tom and Steve on the USS Bonefish Navy submarine. Tom and I went through qualification together and were truly Brothers of the phin. I had hoped to see him after the Navy. We had much in common. Only good thoughts go out to his family.

Dear Borgert family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing.
You don't know me but I served with Tom aboard the USS Bonefish in Hawaii.
Tom and I became close friends in the short time we knew each other. You don't get a chance to meet a person like Tom very often. I wish I hadn't
lost contact but that happens with
young servicemen.
My condolences to your family

To the Borgert Family
When we were neighbors, sharing friends and having good times together. Summer and fall nights when you worked on cars, played rock n roll music in the front yard. Your family was always the friendliest on the block. The time you introduced me to the Hulk. Anyway I only wanted to say may God keep you in his wings. And bless your family always. Celebrate your brother, father, uncles life. Celebrate his return to our father the lord. Frank & Lois; middle daughter.

Our condolences to the family of Thomas ‘Tommy’ A. Borgert.
Tom will be greatly missed by everyone at the Tomah VA Medical Center. Having Tom work at the Medical Center was a great pleasure. He was truly a credit to both the housekeeping department and Center as a whole. He will be missed for his effectiveness in ensuring that our mission of maintaining hospital cleanliness was always at its highest level. His high standard of providing excellent customer service was truly appreciated. He was true friend of veterans.
