To the Ortega Family,
I heard today of yia-yia's passing and would like to express my condolences to all of you. I have not seen yia-yia in quite a long time, but remember some fun times we shared at Nancy and Corky's. I hope that your good memories of yia-yia will help you get through this difficult time. Please take care.

Mom is bound to have her dancing shoes on again and having a ball with Dad on the dance floor. I know that she is with all of her family and friends - and free from her pain. Her presence will always be felt around and within my home and heart. I love you, Mom...

Yia Yia- I just want you to know that I love you with all my heart, although I may not have told you enough. I hope you know that you will always remain in my heart and memories. Just know that the times I spent with you are my most treasured memories and I would never trade them. I love you and I just want to say goodbye the way we always used to-

Yia-yia, I love you. You impacted my life in so many different ways. Our talks, and laughs, are the memories that I hold fondest in my heart. You are a beautiful soul, woman, and grandmother. Your love will last forever. Always your Hollita

My mother died peacefully on August 6th, 2005 at 6:30 am in the Baylor Hospital in Grapevine. Her family, my husband Stuart, my son, Michael and I were there as we watched her take her last breath. Her face was all all glow, not a wrinkle on her face, her face was smooth and pain free.... She died peacefully in my arms, my son holding her hand and kissing her face telling her that he loved his Yai Yai. Mom, I still feel your warmth and your love surrounds us and comforts us in this time of sorrow. We love and miss you so very much.... your daughter, Patty....
