Teresa Peterson Obituary

Peterson, Teresa "Terry" passed away peacefully, on Sunday, January 7, 2007. She was recently preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Arlo (Pete) Peterson. She is survived by her three children, Arlene (Rod) Powers, Terry (David) Loebsack and Jon (Peggy) Peterson and five grandchildren, Marcos, David, Madeleine, Kevin and Becky. Terry was born February 6th, in Seattle, Washington. She was the youngest of six children. She attended the University of Washington. Terry met her future husband, Pete while working as a photographer in San Diego. Terry and Pete were married shortly before he was called to overseas duty. After the war they settled in Chicago where Terry was a Girl Scout leader, President of the St. Bernadette Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Mother McCauley and Marist High School Mothers' clubs. Family was Terry's first priority. She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, painting, playing bridge and spending time with friends and neighbors. In later years she enjoyed making new friends at the Waterford Estates. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 9:15 a.m., from Kenny Brothers, 3600 West 95th St., Evergreen Park, to St. Bernadette Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
