Teresa (nee Ponce), age 76, of Brookfield, IL, beloved wife of the late Alberto (1997), loving mother of Rolando, Patricia Schein, Teresa (Steven) Bross, Rosa, Albert, Luz Maria (Guy) Wolgamott, and the late Mario (Catherine-2008) Flores (2009), cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Monica, David, Ryan, Robert, Erica, Nicolas, Michael, and Sarah. Devoted member of the congregation of St. Barbara Parish in Brookfield. Funeral Saturday, June 19, 9:15 a.m. from Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. DesPlaines Ave., North Riverside to St. Barbara Church, Brookfield, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. We were saddened to hear about Mrs. Fernandez passing. She was a wonderful woman, so friendly and inviting. This 4th of July we will be remembering all the past celebrations when we had such a great time with her and not because she made the best tamales, but because of her great smile. The picture shown of her here is a testament to that. She always made everyone feel comfortable and cared about. We will miss her. Our deepest sympathies to her family.
