For My Bestest Pal
There’s no joy in life so full and so sweet
As that of a friendship that’s strong and complete.
A friendship that binds two souls into one
And makes them immune to Fate’s cruel fun.
A love that surpasses all others, is this.
One that helps when things are amiss,
That makes ones cup of joy overflow-
My feelings for you, Tem, are such, you know.
It isn’t often I say this to you,
You seem to shun sentiment so what can I do-
But today is your birthday and so I can say
Things that are prohibited every day.
The years may come and the years may go
But Temme dear, I want you to know-
That no matter how far we may be and apart
You’ll still have that same big place in my heart.
