Ted Sarauskas was more than a business colleague to me....he was a friend. Ted and I traveled many miles together on supplier audits where I was continuously teaching him about the wonderful attributes of packaging and he was likewise teaching me about the skills of conducting a quality supplier audit.
We were an awesome team....me a very serious minded, detailed packaging engineer and Ted, a master of humor and a mind toward the big picture of life.
Unfortunately, I was out of state on vacation when I received a phone message of Ted's passing. I was deeply sadened because I could not pay my proper respects in person to a guy that I had learned to respect and appreciate for any number of reasons. Ted will live on in the many memories I have of the crazy events and circumstances we encountered during our travels together. I already miss the joking, talking, challenging, kidding, and just enjoying the experiences we had together. Ted and I had a mutual respect and trust in each other that only friends have; for which I will miss.
My prayers will now be focused from Ted to his dear son, Tom, whom he loved and cherished. Tom was the delight and center of Ted's life. Ted could hardly wait for the weekends so he could spend life with Tom, doing all the crazy and father/son things they did together. Things like riding bikes, playing tennis, mock football games, water cannon fights, and much more. What a team they made. They had a wonderful life together and my prayer is that Tom will grow up to become the man that his father wished for him to become. And from what I know, Tom has all the attributes and abilities required to be that special guy that Ted believed he would be. May God be with you, Tom!
My warmest wishes are with the entire Sarauskas family for this loss from your family. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be with you all as you process the loss of a great guy, and my friend, Ted Sarauskas

My deepest sympathy to Tom and the rest of Ted's family. Ted enjoyed talking about his time with Tom more then anything. Ted was strong through his illness and never let it get the best of him. He will be missed.

I enjoyed working with Ted over the past few years. He always made me laugh. He had a quick sense of humor. He loved music, the Bears, the Bulls and of course the Cubs. I will miss him. I will keep Tom and the rest of his family in my prayers.

One thing that I will remember about Ted is his love for the Blues, and how his eyes would light up when he spoke about his favorite Blues performers.
My condolences and prayers are with Ted's family during their time of bereavement.

His strength was enduring to the end - a hard worker and dedicated coworker. I will miss his jokes and lightheartedness and stories about his travels with Tom and the great times they had together.
May he find peace and tranquility.
