John Carolan
March 30, 2004
I just wanted to extend my condolences on the loss of your mother. I went to St. Pat's with John and graduated a few years ahead of him. Growing up you were either part of the Ray Carolan clan from St. viators or the Jack Carolan clan from St. Matthias. I don't know your family other than going to school with John but I can tell you I have heard many good things over the years about your family. God Bless you during this time.

FOOTSTEPS IN THE DUST
Whenever her foot
Touched the ground
There were smiles
All around
Whenever her eyes
Blinked a little
The world got happier
Little by little.
Just the sound
Of her very voice
Touches those
All around
Whenever she smiled
It shone for a mile
And everyone
Did it astound.
Her spirit is free now,
To do what she pleases
Yes,
Her I release.
To me,
She’s a saint
And always will be
I’m glad for her now,
Her kind soul is free
I’m sure that all who knew her could see
How much she loved all of you
Him, her, and me
And now she’s in Heaven
In God’s arms,
You see.
She’s watching over each of us,
Watching from above
She’s telling us
Within our hearts
To spread all sorts of love
I know everyone loved her
In each and every way
And for every person did she pray,
Each and every day,
And I’m just here to say…
Mrs. Carolan,
I know your watching,
Watching over me
And like I’m telling all these people
I know that you can see
How we preserve your footsteps
That you left in the dust,
On your way up to heaven,
Ever so carefully.
