When I think about my Nana, I think about the night she came home from a wedding and I was waiting for her at her house. I was about 10 years old and had been crying to my dad all night because I was scared of death and I asked her if she was too. She sat down next to me, and told me she wasn´t. She told me all about her vision of heaven and how beautiful it would be. Since then, in those moments where I become anxious about death, I think about Nana´s picture of heaven and it calms me. And now, it is even more relieving knowing she´s there to ease my fear when it´s my turn to leave this earth. As her oldest grandchild, i had the most time with her and I will forever grieve for my younger cousins who were not fortunate enough to have all those years. But I will always share with them why Nana was special to me and I will always remind them of how lucky they are to have such a God-loving woman watching over them. My grandmother was the most incredible human and from her I have learned to be proud of my faith and to be generous to all, even strangers. She would feed everyone before herself and as soon as we walked into her house or woke up in the morning she would already have snacks and drinks waiting for us. She took care of her family and the rest of us will continue to do that for eachother. In her honor, we will grow our family and teach our children to love and to believe. Nana and Papa have created the most beautiful family and though we miss them dearly, we will do our best to have an impact on others as strongly as they did. We will keep their memory alive in our hearts, prayers, and conversations. There will always be a missing piece in my heart without them but in the midst my sadness, I smile because they gave me my father, and they sure did one hell of a job raising him along with my other aunts and uncles. My love and respect for them will never dwindle. I will think about them with every passing day. Thank you Nana, for the endless love and laughs. I love you.

Well mom, it's hard to believe it's been 3 weeks since you left us to go be with Dad and Mary Pat! I will miss having conversations with you about Krissie and Kasey and Jordan and anything and everything related to the entire McGrath family. Mom we are so proud of you and how strong you were over the past year! We all know it wasn't easy for you leaving the Leamington house that held so many wonderful and lasting memories but through it all mom we couldn't have prouder of the good fight you fought knowing how difficult things were for you. You certainly were a great example of how to life to the fullest and keep a smile on your face even in the most difficult of times. I really can't put into words the impact that you have had on all of our lives but hopefully we can all keep living our lives in a manner that would make you and dad proud of us all! You both were a great example for us all and certainly provided us with a great foundation to follow in your footsteps! WE are all so sad you are gone mom but so relieved that the pain and suffering is over and you are finally reunited with Dad, Mary Pat, and Nana and Papa Boyle and Nana and Papa McGrath and Aunt Sally and all those great family and friends that went before you. Your legacy will live on mom for many years to come in Jimmy, myself, John, Danny, Marty and Katie and your wonderful grand children who miss you so much but cherish the memories they have of you. So like with dad, mom we will think about you often and shed a few tears but they are tears of happy thoughts knowing you are back where you belong holding hands with Dad and holding your baby girl Mary Pat! Until we meet again mom give dad and Mary Pat a big hug and kiss for us all!
Love
Michael

I knew Sue from OLV. We had SO many laughs through the years! Like Sue, I have a second career. I teach at a grammar school and think of a Sue often as one of my "volunteer" jobs is as a crossing guard. I will treasure the laughs, be comforted that she is reunited with Jim, and never forget her 1000-watt smile! With Love, Colleen

Sincerest sympathies to you all for the loss of Susan. What a wonderful sweet woman she was to all. I have memories of Susan & Jim going back to the 60's when we were neighbors on Hutchinson St.
She was always so kind and wonderful to our entire family. Susan & Jim attended my wedding back in 1974. She always said I was one of the happiest Brides she ever saw. She will be truly missed. May God hold her in the palm of His hand and may the Angels lead her into Paradise.

My condolences to the family. I have known Sue since I moved into the neighborhood with my parents in 1973 and how we all were cheering when she finally had a girl! She always had a smile, always willing to help. I will never forget her always stopping when she saw my late mom outside - just to say Hi - and of course, with a smile. Will miss you Sue.
