Your loss is felt in the state of Louisiana. I met Stevie "Pac Man" Mason at JSU during our tenure there. He was a loving & fun person to be around. I can still recall the smile and the jokes. His memory will live on forever in my heart. Cast your cares on the Lord for He cares for you. Remember, earth has no sorry nor pain that Heaven cannot heal.

My heart goes out to you at this time. Steve was an incredible man and always showed his love of family and God in his actions. What a testament to all of us to know someone like Steve. We are blessed and better people for the association we had with him. We know that he is abundantly happy now.

What a wonderful example you have set as a hard working and loving Husband and Father. Your family was blessed to have you in their lives as were many of the patients you helped on their roads to recovery. I know that you are in heaven,for your belief was so evident. You have fought a good fight, stayed the course and now it is time to rejoice with the angels in heaven.

Music, when soft voices die
Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.
Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the belovèd's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

Charlene, I a so sorry for the loss of your best friend. But, I can't help but think what rejoicing there must have been when Stevie was welcomed into Heaven's Gates, with his face beaming, and his heavenly Father saying job well done, my good and faithful servant...well done. He is finally free from this earthly body that he so mightily struggled with, and now he is healed, resting safely in the arms of Jesus. May God give you a special peace like nothing you have ever experienced, and may you take hope in the knowledge that you will see Stevie again.
