My deepest condolences to Steve's family. I went to Burnham and Morton East with Steve and if you know Steve, you know he had his whole life planned out when he was about 4 years old. He had a passion for politics...it was in 7th grade that he decided that we would get married after college and he would devote himself to politics as he worked his way to the Senate. I haven't seen Steve since high school, but I always knew he had big things ahead of him. I'm glad to hear he accomplished many of his dreams. He'll live on forever because he touched so many lives.

Dear Kozlowski Family,
I am very sorry for your loss. At a graduate student of Steve's, I was fortunate to know him a short time and to experience his genuine caring. At the end of the work day, he came to our class full of excitement to share his knowledge and he really inspired us to do well. He was a wonderful teacher. I hope peace for you at this time and always.

He is now up in heaven smiling down on all, just as he did here on Earth. God Bless his family & friends. He will truly be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Kozlowski family. I knew Steve from band starting in grade school. He was a terrific guy and his ability to overcome obstacles was inspiring. I only wish I could have met with him again at the 20th high school reunion. Steve was the "one in a million" that you hear of and his loss diminshes our world.

My deepest sympathy to Steve's family and friends. Steve was amazing. He could pack more into a day, than most of us in a week. His kind heart, quick wit, and wisdom was truly an inspiration to me. He will be missed by many, but his legacy will live on.

Having been one of Steve's closest friends for the past 30 years, it is difficult to express my feelings in words. Let me simply say that Steve was truly “one in a million” - a man of extraordinary energy and passion, caring and compassionate, and the best friend that anyone could ever ask for. I am proud to say that my life is better for what Steve contributed to it. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Each man's death diminishes me, but to Steve I feel I owe a great deal. I always saw Steve as being wise beyond his years, and perhaps this is yet another lesson he has taught to me. Never allow time to vanish into regrets of sentiments never conveyed. I know it is too late but... "Thank you, Steve. Thank you for everything."

Those of us from the 1980's Morton East Band/Orchestra days, will never forget the great times we shared with Steve. Although he was our tuba player, he would never let you forget that he was actually a "trumpet" player, who played tuba. I will always look back with a smile when thinking of those innocent days of movies, "Falco's Pizza", and Band Camp. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say that our prayers go out to his family. We have truly lost someone who we will never foget.
