I miss you so much

To Steve’s wife:
You know how saddened I am about Steve, and so sorry for your loss. What a roller coaster ride you two have been on! For a lot of the way, I felt I was right along with you. I still can’t believe he’s really gone, especially when everything was going so good for you both. I’ll never forget Cabo, – October 22nd, 2006. You were both so happy! Can you believe it, just six short months ago?? I’m still waiting for that crazy book I always said you should write about your life. This isn’t the final chapter for you. Things will get better. At least Steve left you peacefully – on vacation and happy, with you by his side. I’ll miss him, he was one in a million! Call me if you need anything. Love, Linda

Dear Brandon and Karena,
A love lost is the thing we know you both feel the most in your grief. Our greatest sympathy to both and we will keep you in our prayers.

Dear Karena and Eva,
My heart-felt sympathy goes out to you at this time of grief and in the days ahead. Steve left so suddenly and will be missed by so many, but ALWAYS REMEMBER that he loved you both so very, very, much. May you take comfort in that, and all the wonderful memories that you each have shared with him. Eva, although we never met, I heard so much about you. The thoughts and prayers of all of Steve's friends in Elmhurst are with both of you at this time.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
