Podlecki, Steve Veteran of WWII Sgt. U.S. Army. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Cantwell), loving father of Susan (Dr. Edgar) Del Castillo, Steven (the late Sharilyn), Diane (David) Clifton, Mary Greene and the late Stephan Podlecki, devoted grandfather of Matthew (Tammy) and Michael (Jessica) Adelsbach, Kimberly (Michael) Hines, Stephan, Celina and Caileena Clifton and Jim Greene, loving great-grandfather of Sydney and Madison, fond brother of the late William Podlecki. Visitation Sunday, from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Monday, 10 a.m. from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 9000 W. 151st Street, Orland Park, to St. Linus Church, Mass 11 a.m. Interment private. Member of VFW Post #6863. Participated in Normandy Invasion, recipient of Distinguished Flying Cross for Extraordinary Achievement while participating in bombing missions over enemy held territory. Sgt. Podlecki flew 87 missions, 57 of them were over targets in France, Belgium and Holland, www.sheehyfh.com 708-857-7878.
