Ashenbrener, Steve M. Age 82, of Lansing, IL. formerly of South Chicago, IL. Passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Loving husband of Carol Ashenbrener. Loving father of the late Jeffery, Steve (Pauline) Ashenbrener and Christine (Timothy) Reidelbach. Loving grandfather of Emily, Elaina, Joshua and Matthew. Dear brother of Joseph P. (Cecilia) Ashenbrener, Mary (late Mike) Santoro and Helen (late Anthony) Peloza. Preceded in death by his parents Anton and Mary Ashenbrener and his sister Frances (Steve) Butkovich. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of the US Marines, lifetime member of Amvets and member of I.B.E.W. Local 134. Visitation Thursday August 11, 2011 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service Friday August 12, 2011 10:00 am at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th Lane.) St. John, IN. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
