Stephanie Morey Obituary

Morey, Stephanie Age 88, of Chicago, IL passed away June 30, 2013, in the presence of her close family and friends in Plainfield, IL. Stephanie was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Lelko. Stephanie is the beloved wife of Harlen "Bud" Morey for 64 wonderful years. Stephanie worked in the factory industry for various companies including Crane and Nabisco. Stephanie was a former proprietor of Chateau Lounge for over 20 years and a friend to all who entered the establishment. Mother to Maryann (Fred) Dusza (nee Grabinowski), Harlene (Philip) Wengren (nee Morey), Lawrence (Jackie) Morey and Kathy (Thomas) Lazarz (nee Morey); sister to Helen (Henry) Grabinowski (nee Lelko), Josephine (Chester) Cachor (nee Lelko) and Henry (Carole) Lelko; grandmother to Jeffery (Kathie) Dusza, Sharon (Dale) Ushman, John (Cindy) Dusza, Michael (Tina) Wengren, Bryan Wengren, Debs (John) Satala (nee Wengren), Jimbo (Judy) Wengren, Daniel (Molly) Morey, Kristyn Morey, Stephne Lazarz, Cera Lazarz and Anthony Lazarz; great-grandmother "Busia" to seventeen and preceded in faith by the late (infant) Jorie Wengren; sister-in-law to Ruth (Mickey) Bonthron (nee Morey), Marvin (Jeanine) Morey, Marlene (William) Buhle (nee Morey); aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many. Stephanie was a proud and longtime member of both Saint Bruno's and Saint Richard's Parishes including their Senior Citizens' Groups. Stephanie was a member of the Rosary Ladies and the American Legion. Stephanie was also a Eucharistic Minister and a Minister of Care. Stephanie was an active member of many liturgical and social groups. Stephanie will always be remembered for her deep religious faith, generosity and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation to be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Zarzycki Manor Chapels, Ltd., 8999 Archer Avenue, Willow Springs. Lying in state will take place on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Saint Bruno Church (4800 South Harding, Chicago, IL) at 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
