My heartfelt sympathy to Solomon Alfassa's family. Through the stories shared by Vic, his loving daughter, and my close friend of over 16 years, I know I am grateful for the fact that Mr. Alfassa rescued POWs in the Pacific in WWII, raised a family of strong, loving girls and told wonderful stories. He lived a rich life and lives on in the love and nurturing his daughter showers on us. Respectfully, Patti & Hugo Arabia and sons.

I had the honor of meeting Solomon a year ago when I started working at Aurora Rehab. Sol would come up to visit me every day, asking me to make him copies of the poems he had written. He always asked me what I thought of the poems, and made sure that I took a copy! Sol then would have me mail out the poems to all his friends and family! I will truely miss Sol, my days at work will never be the same. To all of Solomons family, I hope you know how much he loved all of you. Sol talked every day about all of you, and shared many stories of happy times with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
