I worked for DrK.in the late 70s at his Palos Hills office. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. He remains one of my most unforgettable bosses! Cranky one minute, charming the next and the hardest working man I've ever known. My condolences to his family,I remember how proud he was of his children.

I met Sol 26 yrs ago as an intern at Chicago Osteopathic. He was feisty, opinionated and never hesitated to let an intern experience a teachable moment. But as I watched closer, he revealed an absolute commitment to his patients, his hospital and his field. He challenged us as he knew what we would face in the future. He refused to accept that Osteopathy and mediocrity could be said in the same sentence. I will miss him and remember him fondly.

JUST WANTED TO LET PAM AND ALL MEMBERS OF HIS FAMILY I AM DEEPLY
SADENED BY HIS LOSS. I WORKED FOR HIM FOR THREE YEARS ALL THOUGH, WE MIGHT OF HAD OUR DIFFERENCES HE WAS A GOOD DOCTOR. HE TOLD US MANY STORIES ABOUT HIS CHILDHOOD AND GROWING UP A POOR BOY. SELLING SHOES IN HIS FATHERS SHOE STORE AND
SELLING PEANUTS IN MOBILE. HE DID GET TO VISIT MOBILE ALABAMA FOR A REUNION ABOUT A YEAR BEFORE HIS DEATH. HE ALSO SAW HIS SISTERS IN ATLANTA WHICH I UNDERSTAND HE HAD NOT SEEN IN A LONG TIME. HE SEEMED TO REALLY ENJOY THAT AND TO ME IT WAS LIKE A GODSEND OF THE TIMING OF HIS TRIP AND HIS PASSING. AS A NURSE I LEARNED FROM THE STRENTH AND DEDICATION HE HAD FOR HIS PATIENTS. UP TO HIS ILLNESS THE MAN WORKED SIX DAYS A WEEK NOT ENOUGH VACATIONS, AND TRAVELED TO FOUR OFFICES IN WEEKS TIME. HIM AND I DID NOT SEE EYE TO EYE/PUN INTENDED ON MANY THINGS. BUT, HE WAS A GOOD DOCTOR AND TRIED TO BE A STRONG MAN.JUST WANTED TO SAY I WORK FOR THREE DOCTORS THAT SAY HE WAS A TOUGH TEACHER AT THE OSTEOPATHIC HOSPITAL BUT THEY ALL AGREE HE TOUCHED ALL OF HIS STUDENTS SOME HOW AND THEY ADMIRED THE DOCTOR K. STERNESS AND SENSE OF HUMOUR. AGAIN HANG IN THERE PAM AND ALL THE REST.NORINE
