Sheryl Jean Geiger nee Johnson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, while surrounded by her loving family in the tranquility of her own home.B eloved Wife of the late Kenneth R. Geiger for a Loving 67 years. Devoted Mother of Gary, Kevin (Jean), Joni (James) Russo, Susan and Eric (Amy). Loving Daughter of the late Leonard Frank and the late Gertrude Lucile nee Frymire, Johnson. Fond Grandmother of Joseph (Annie), Sean and Niko, Dear Great Grandmother of Mia, Joseph and Layla. Dear Sister of Celinda (the late Robert) Prater, the late Eulalia "Peggy" Anderson-Smith and the late Martha Hook-Gormany. Dear Sister in Law to Nancy (the late Joseph) Geiger. Dear Aunt and Great Aunt to many, Loving Cousin and Dear Friend to all. Sheryl graduated from Monmouth High School on May 29, 1952, and then attended Monmouth College where she met Kenneth. She worked for 20 years at the Cicero-Berwyn Life Newspaper. She also enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her bridge groups. But mostly loved spending time with her loving family. Family and Friends are to gather for the Visitation on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russo's Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162 (located between Mannheim and Wolf Road). Funeral to follow Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from Russo's Hillside Chapels at 9:00 a.m. proceeding to St. Leonard Parish, 3318 South Clarence Avenue, Berwyn, Illinois 60402.
