Sharon Schuit Obituary
Sharon Jean (nee O'Neil) Schuit, 68, died Monday, March 15, 2021, at her home in Orland Park. Sharon was born September 23, 1952, a daughter of Jerry and Betty O'Neil. She married Dale Schuit, and they raised two daughters: Maren L. (Mark) Cunnington and Sarah M. Schuit. A devoted caregiver, Sharon graduated from nursing school at Augustana College and worked as a registered nurse across many different fields. She retired officially in 2020, following a career of dedicated service to her patients and her colleagues. Sharon is survived by her daughters, son-in-law, and two grandsons, Oliver and Aidan; her mother, Betty; and her sister Dianne (Scott) Munro and brother Don (Beth) O'Neil. Her husband, Dale, and father, Jerry O'Neil, preceded her in death. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 3pm to 7pm at RICHARD J MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 12641 W. 143rd St., Homer Glen.
