It took me a long while to be able to get in here and write. and though it hurts to do so, I finally found the strength to do it. To his family, my deepest sympathy. I remember him clearly in his fantasy world of camp as he called it. Such energy and happiness is what he had, his huge smile is what I will never forget. To my dearest Sandar, I miss you, but know you're in such a better place. Until then I'll wait till the day that I get to see you once again.

Sandar,

You don't know how much it hurt to hear of your death. To think I had just seen your beautiful smile. I regret so much not taking advantage of all the opportunies I had to spend with you. I will miss you greatly but I know you are in a better place. Until we meet again. My heart goes out to the Mosqueda family.

Sandar told me several times he loved camp because it was a safe place to be. It may be easy to say now I know why....

But actually, where he is at right now is even safer...

Three things I know for certain...

He is not gone

It was his time

Finally and most importantly,

There was a reason why Sandar left this mortal life. I know he is hoping and praying that those who loved him find that reason.

And if thou shouldst be cast into the a pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.

8 The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?

Doctrine and Covenants 122: 7-8

Peace comes through understanding the plan our Father in Heaven has for US!

Annette

To The Mosqueda Family:

I met Sandar last summer at camp (2001) in Wisconsin, he was such a nice person and such a wonderful friend. He was so full of energy and someone who cared so much about everyone else. He was so smart, and he had a special something in him, in his so unforgettable smile. I truly believe he was one of those people that come to us and somehow they make a big difference in our lives without them even noticing. He will always have a special place in my heart and I am sure that in the heart of all of us who had the great honor to know him.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.

I am not there

I do not sleep

I am the thousand winds that blow

I am the diamond glints on snow

I am the sunlight on ripened sand

I am the gentle autumn rain

When you awaken in the mornings hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight

I am the soft stars that shine at Night, Do not stand at my grave and Cry I am not there

I do not die.

Throughout our lives we meet hundreds of people who come in quickly and are just as quickly forgotten, however there are others who captivate us and a part of them stays with you forever.

After I meet Sandar this summer I walked away with something special. I had meet someone who was so happy in life that anyone around him couldn't help but take on that happiness. No one will forget his compassion and humor because these qualities drew people to him. I am a better person for knowing him. For all who loved him please know my prayers are with you and that I will always hold a place for you and Sandar in my heart.

To my dearest Sandar,

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may the God that loves us all, hold you in the palm of His hand...Amen I love and miss you Sandar. You will never be forgotten. Through distance and afar you will always be in the mind of two Texans. I will never forget the first time we met, the memory is very much alive in my mind. Watch over us and guide us. To your family, I am deeply sorry for your loss and pain

To the Mosqueda Family,

i cannot imagine what you all are experiencing right now, but i would like to add another voice of sympathy: Sandar's smile was a burst of mischievous sunshine, and the twinkle in his eye was flirt of the moonlight. These things will always go on, as will our memories of your fine son and brother.
