Samuel Baltrusis Obituary

Baltrusis, Samuel 89, of Royalton, Illinois, formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday, March 28th at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Center in Joliet. Sam was born March 23, 1922 in Royalton to John and Antonia (Pazereskas) Baltrusis. He married Betty Jane Aitchison May 8, 1948 in Chicago. She preceded him in death April 23, 1989. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Gayle Baltrusis of Chicago, Samuel and Sharon Baltrusis of Alsip; two daughters and a son-in-law, Candace Marevka of Peotone, Loretta and Steve Knize of New Lenox; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. Retired Yard Conductor Conrail Rail Road in Chicago and Navy Veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at 10:00a.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at the St. Aloysius-Sacred Heart Church in Royalton. Burial at the St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visitation 5-8:00p.m., Thursday at Vantrease Funeral Home in Royalton.
