Toia, Sam Age 91. At rest January 21, 2015, of Norridge. Army veteran of WWII. Beloved husband of Anna May (nee Walsh) for 49 years; loving father of Bob (Cindy) Edwards, Sharon Edwards and Lisa (Gary) Mohr; cherished grandfather of Jill (Ted) Vasilakopoulos and Sam and Nicole Mohr; great-grandfather of Olivia, Sophia, Nick and the late Alexandra Vasilakopoulos; dear brother of Leonard "Ben" (Sue) Toia, Vince (Diane) Toia, Margie Toia, Catherine "Dolly" (John) Fillippo and the late Josie, Jack, and Phil Toia; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Sam was a member of the the Sambuca Club. Visitation Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Monday beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and then proceeding to Our Lady Mother of the Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
